IF Gathering 2024

IF gathering is back! The focus this year is on our savior Jesus! Life is often hard and messy, but when we set our eyes on Him we are empowered. We can see good, have hope, and experience peace no matter what we are going through. Why? Because we know we are not journeying alone. Come join us at Brentwood Oaks April 26th and 27th as we learn, worship, and fellowship together. You don’t want to miss it!

BOCC Church Retreat 2024

BOCC Church Retreat 2024

The Brentwood Oaks Church Retreat has been a gathering of our church family since 1974. In those 50 years, many fish have been caught (and dutifully released), many softballs tossed, many wonderful meals have been prepared, eaten, and cleaned up. Many friendships have begun and been nurtured, but most of all many, many people have drawn closer to God and to their Christian brothers and sisters during this time we enjoy together in God’s beautiful creation.

It is a great time to get away from the hustle and bustle of our everyday lives, to slow down and listen to the birds or just to watch children play. You can enjoy a cup of coffee quietly down by the waterside or enjoy a cookie with a friend on the porch.  Encouragement comes on the wings of the songs we offer in praises to our Lord and Savior.

During these years, many kids who grew up coming to this retreat are now returning with their own children. Please join us as we continue this tradition of making wonderful memories in this corner of God’s heaven here on earth.

The 2024 Church Retreat is March 22-24

COPE Seminar

Have you ever thought about what it would be like to live in poverty? For some, it has been a reality. For others, it is the furthest thing from our minds.

On September 9, Brentwood Oaks is hosting the COPE seminar. COPE stands for “Cost Of Poverty Experience”. From 9 am to noon that day in our FLC, we will participate in discussions and activities to help us understand what it means to be someone who lives in poverty. The aim is to help us understand, walk alongside, and help those in our community living in poverty. We will work towards deepening our understanding, developing practices/approaches with a lasting impact, engaging in meaningful & authentic ways, and bringing restoration to our community.

God continues to give us the opportunity to serve and minister in our area. Let’s continue to equip ourselves as best we can to care for those in need.

For more info or to register for the event, please click the link below. If you have any questions, please contact Stan Reid at stan.reid@academy4.org.
